Alexa compatible devices
Alexa smart home devices from every category we stock, so you can run your lights, switches and plugs by voice or from the Alexa app. Some pair directly over Matter and others link through their maker's Alexa skill, so each product page shows how it connects.
Nothing here matches that. Try a brand or a product type, like "Shelly" or "dimmer".
Matter or a skill
Alexa is a Matter controller, so Matter lights, plugs and sensors pair to it directly. Other devices connect through a skill: an add-on from the maker that links its service to Alexa.
Some Echo models are hubs
The Echo (4th generation), Echo Show 10, Echo Studio and Echo Hub have a Zigbee radio built in, so Zigbee bulbs and sensors pair straight to them without a separate bridge.
Alexa needs the internet
An Echo listens for its wake word locally, but Amazon's servers work out what you asked. When the internet drops, Matter devices can still be controlled on your own network.

No. You can control devices from the Alexa app on your phone. An Echo adds voice control around the house, and some models also act as a Zigbee hub.
Yes. Alexa is a Matter controller, so Matter lights, plugs, locks and sensors pair to it directly. Several Echo models also have a built-in Zigbee hub.
Yes, if it's a Matter device. A Matter device can be shared with Alexa, Apple Home and Google Home at the same time.
Mostly not. Alexa is cloud-first: the Echo hears its wake word locally, then sends your request to Amazon's servers to be understood. Matter devices can still be controlled locally on your network.
