Apple Home compatible devices

HomeKit devices and accessories you can add to Apple Home, from every category we stock: lights, switches, plugs and sensors. Some join Apple Home directly and some through their maker's bridge, so each product page shows how it connects.

Certified or compatible

'Works with Apple Home' on the box is Apple's certification badge, and it's granted per accessory, never per brand. Plenty of devices work with Apple Home without it. You can check any accessory in Apple's public directory, or in the CSA's database for Matter products.

You can start without a hub

On an iPhone running iOS 18 or later, you can add Matter accessories and control them at home with no hub. A HomePod or Apple TV adds control from outside the house, sharing with your household, notifications and automations on Thread accessories.

Keep the maker's app

Matter carries the standard controls. A maker's extras, such as its own scenes and effects, usually stay in its app, so keep that installed. Only Matter accessories can also join Google Home, Alexa or SmartThings; a HomeKit-only accessory stays in Apple Home.

Not to start. On an iPhone running iOS 18 or later you can add and locally control Matter accessories with no hub. You need a HomePod or Apple TV for control from outside the home, sharing with family and guests, Home notifications, HomeKit Secure Video and automations on Thread accessories.

It means the manufacturer took that specific accessory through Apple's certification programme. The badge is granted per accessory, never per brand, and a device can work with Apple Home without carrying it.

Partly. Commands to local accessories travel over your own network, so control from a phone at home can keep working. Control from outside the house, Siri requests, HomeKit Secure Video and syncing between your household's devices stop until the connection is back.

Yes, if it's a Matter device. Matter lets one device join more than one platform at once, so it can sit in Apple Home and Google Home together. A HomeKit-only accessory works in Apple Home alone.
