WiZ is smart lighting with nothing in between. Every bulb, strip and fixture joins your home Wi-Fi directly, so there's no hub to buy and no bridge to wire in. Screw in a bulb, scan it in the app, and you're controlling colour, warmth and scenes in about a minute.
WiZ is made by Signify, the same company behind Philips Hue, and sits as the value line to Hue's premium system.
It runs on plain 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, works with Amazon Alexa and Google Home out of the box, and joins Apple Home and SmartThings through Matter. The clever extras are built in: SpaceSense turns two or more bulbs into a motion sensor with no added hardware, and the WiZ app handles schedules, circadian Rhythms and dynamic scenes. We stock the AU range in the fittings local homes actually use: B22 bayonet, E27 and E14 screw, GU10 spots, plus strips, light bars and TV backlight kits.

The one decision
WiZ or Hue?
The honest split: WiZ and Hue are both made by Signify, and they aim at different budgets. WiZ puts every bulb straight on your Wi-Fi, so there's no bridge to buy and colour bulbs start around $20. It's the fastest, cheapest way into good smart lighting, and for one or two rooms it's all most people need.
Hue adds a Zigbee mesh and a Bridge. That buys reliability across a whole house, a much wider range of fixtures, and the most developed TV-sync and outdoor systems on the market. Lighting a big or permanent home and want it bulletproof? Step up to Hue. Want colour, warmth and control without the hardware? Start with WiZ.

WiZ only
Motion sensing with no sensor
SpaceSense uses the Wi-Fi signal between two or more WiZ bulbs to detect movement in a room, so lights switch on as you walk in without a sensor mounted on the wall. Set it up in the app with the bulbs you already have. It's a trick Hue can't do, and it costs nothing extra.

A WiZ Sync Box kit mirrors what's on your TV onto the lights behind it in real time, so films and games spill past the screen into the room. The same idea as Hue's Sync Box, at under a third of the price.
WiZ for hands-free rooms
With two or more bulbs in a room, SpaceSense lights the space as you walk in and settles it back down when you leave. No sensor to mount, no wiring. Ideal for hallways, laundries and stairs.

Set WiZ Rhythms once and your lights warm and dim through the evening, then ease back on in the morning. The schedule runs to time whether or not your phone is nearby.

No. Every WiZ light connects straight to your home's 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. Nothing extra to buy or wire in: screw in a bulb, add it in the app, and it's ready.
Alexa and Google Home work out of the box. Apple Home and SmartThings work through Matter after you migrate the light in the WiZ app. Over Matter you get on/off, dimming and colour; SpaceSense and dynamic scenes stay in the WiZ app.

WiZ is a Signify brand, and Signify is the company that makes Philips Hue and licenses the Philips name for lighting. That is why you will see WiZ packaging branded Philips in some stores and plain WiZ in others. Same product, same app, same warranty with us.
Power the light on, open the WiZ app and follow the prompts to add it to a room. WiZ joins 2.4GHz Wi-Fi only, so if your router publishes one combined network name you may need to move your phone onto the 2.4GHz band for setup. Once it is paired the light stays on your Wi-Fi on its own.
