SmartThings compatible devices
SmartThings devices for your Samsung smart home, from every category we stock: lights, switches, plugs, sensors and energy monitors. Some need a SmartThings hub and some don't, so each product page shows how it connects.
Nothing here matches that. Try a brand or a product type, like "Shelly" or "dimmer".
Choosing devices for SmartThings
Hub or no hub
Wi-Fi devices, cloud-connected devices and devices with their own bridge work through the SmartThings app alone. Zigbee, Z-Wave and Thread devices need a hub, and Samsung says Matter needs a Matter controller too, over Wi-Fi as well as Thread.
Certified or compatible
Works with SmartThings is a certification granted per model. A device can work with SmartThings without it, and Samsung's public index lets you check a product before you buy. A listing doesn't prove the product is sold in Australia.
What keeps running offline
Devices connected straight to a hub keep working when the internet drops, because SmartThings Edge runs their logic on the hub. Cloud-connected devices, voice control and remote access stop until it's back.

Not to start. Wi-Fi devices, cloud-connected devices and devices with their own bridge work through the SmartThings app alone. You need a hub for Zigbee, Z-Wave and Thread devices, and a Matter controller for Matter.
Four different products go by the name: a standalone Aeotec hub, the SmartThings Station, a hub built into a Samsung TV or fridge, and older Samsung hubs. They don't all carry the same radios, so check which one a device needs.
It's Samsung's certification, granted per model. A device can work with SmartThings without being certified, but only certified products may carry the logo.
Partly. Devices connected straight to a hub keep working, and timer automations keep firing if what they switch is also on the hub. Remote access, voice control, cloud notifications and cloud-connected devices stop.
