Google Home compatible devices
Smart home devices for Google Home, from every category we stock: lights, switches, plugs and sensors. Some pair straight into the Google Home app over Matter and others link through their maker's app, so each product page shows how it connects.
Nothing here matches that. Try a brand or a product type, like "Shelly" or "dimmer".
Choosing devices for Google Home
Linked account or Matter
Most devices reach Google Home by linking the maker's account in the Google Home app, with no Google hardware in the house. Matter devices pair straight into Google Home instead, and they need a Google hub, for setup and for control.
Check the radio, not just the hub
Eleven Google device types act as a Matter hub, but only five carry a Thread radio. A Thread device needs one of those five. A Nest Mini, for example, is a Matter hub with no Thread, so it can't reach a Thread sensor.
Plan for the internet dropping
Google Home leans on the cloud. With the internet down you lose the voice assistant, the app and every cloud-linked device. Matter devices keep local control through a hub.

Not for most devices. Cloud-connected devices reach Google Home with no Google hardware in the house. Matter devices do need a Google hub, for control as well as setup, and Thread devices need one of the Google hubs that carry a Thread radio.
In the Google Home app. A Matter device pairs directly through your Google hub. Other devices connect by linking the maker's account in the app, after you've set them up in the maker's own app.
No. The Nest Mini is a Matter hub with no Thread radio, so it can't reach a Thread-only device. You need one of Google's Thread-capable hubs, such as the Nest Hub (2nd gen) or the Google TV Streamer.
No. Google Home is mostly cloud-based, and Google has never claimed it works offline. What survives an outage is local control of Matter devices through a hub. Buying a hub doesn't change that.
