Which fitting do I need?
The cap on the base of the globe decides what fits the socket. The code is usually printed on the old globe or the fitting itself.

Bayonet · largeThe push-and-twist bayonet base: line up the two pins, push in and turn a quarter to lock. It's been the classic Australian fitting for decades, so it's still common in older homes.

Edison screw · largeThe big screw-in base, 27mm across. It's the default for most pendants, lamps and standard fittings in Australia, so if you're not sure, it's probably this one. The size is printed on the base of the globe you're replacing.

White Ambiance covers the full spectrum of white light, from warm, candlelit tones to crisp cool daylight, so you can match the light to the time of day: cosy at night, cool and bright for working or reading. This is the newest A60, 40% more efficient than the previous generation and dimmable to 0.2% for a soft night-light glow. Bluetooth works out of the box; a Hue Bridge adds voice, remote access and richer automations. If you want colour as well, choose the Colour version.

Set a warm glow for the evening and a crisp daylight tone for the morning, or let a routine shift it automatically. At 1100 lumens it works as the main light, dimming to 0.2% for a soft night-light.
Made for screw sockets
This is the E27 Edison screw cap, the most common fitting in Australian homes, not the B22 bayonet. It threads straight into any E27 socket, so check yours before you order.

No. It pairs over Bluetooth and you control it from the Hue app, up to about ten bulbs in one room. Add the Hue Bridge to run up to 50 bulbs, set automations, control the lights while you're away, and connect to Matter, Apple Home, Google Home and Alexa.
It has a standard E27 Edison screw base, the most common screw fitting in Australia. It goes into any E27 socket in place of an ordinary globe.
Yes, fully dimmable from the Hue app, a Hue switch or your voice, with no separate wall dimmer. Don't wire it to a traditional dimmer, as that breaks the smart control. Leave the wall switch on and dim from Hue instead.
It changes white temperature, not colour. This is a White ambiance bulb: every shade of white from warm 2200K to cool 6500K daylight, with no coloured light. Choose a White and colour bulb if you want colours.
