LED Ceiling Lights
Philips Hue ceiling lights replace your existing fixture with a dimmable LED centrepiece in warm-to-cool white or full colour. Control it over Bluetooth on its own, or add a Hue Bridge for scenes, automations and voice control.
Installation
A ceiling light replaces the whole fixture, not just the globe. Wiring it in is a licensed electrician's job in Australia, unless you're confident swapping a ceiling rose yourself.
Colour and brightness
Warm-to-cool white tunes from relaxed evening light to crisp daylight on one dimmer. Full colour adds sixteen million shades on top, for a statement piece rather than everyday lighting.
Connection
Every light works over Bluetooth on its own, straight from the Hue app. Add a Hue Bridge to unlock scenes, automations, entertainment sync and control from outside the house.

How much light do I need?
Brightness is measured in lumens, not watts. We've sorted globes into five bands so you can filter by how much light they actually put out, from a soft bedside glow to an outdoor floodlight. Here's what each band covers.

Bright
800 to 1500 lm800 to 1500 lumens, around a 75 to 100W globe. Proper room lighting for downlights, a bright pendant or the main light in a living area or kitchen.

Plan for an electrician
A ceiling light wires into the point your old fixture came off, so it's not a straight swap like a bulb. Budget for an electrician to connect it, especially if you're changing the fixture type or don't already have a compatible ceiling rose. Once it's wired in, everything else, brightness, colour, schedules, runs from the Hue app.
Pick full colour or warm-to-cool white
Full colour suits a room built around it, a living space or media corner where the light is part of the look. Warm-to-cool white is the quieter choice for hallways, kitchens and bedrooms, tuning from relaxed evening light to crisp daylight without ever needing a colour wheel.
Size it to the room
A small fixture reads as mean in the middle of a big living room, and an oversized centrepiece crowds a narrow hallway or entry. Match the light to the room it's going in first, then choose colour and connection to suit.
Connect over Bluetooth or add a Bridge
Every light pairs over Bluetooth straight from the Hue app, so no extra hardware is needed to get started. Add a Hue Bridge if you want scenes, automations, entertainment sync, or control from outside the house, useful once you're running more than one or two lights.

Usually, yes. A ceiling light wires into the point your old fixture came off, so it isn't a plug-and-play swap like a bulb. Unless you're confident working with mains wiring yourself, get a licensed electrician to connect it, particularly if you're changing the fixture type.
No. Every light in this range pairs over Bluetooth straight from the Hue app, so you can dim and change colour without any extra hardware. A Hue Bridge is only worth adding once you want scenes, automations or control while you're away from home.
Not as listed. Neither the Infuse nor the Enrave carries a wet-area IP rating on their product pages, so they're built for living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and similar dry spaces. Check the IP rating on the product page before fitting any light in a bathroom or other damp area.
It depends on the model. The Enrave range includes a physical dimmer switch, so you can adjust brightness by hand as well as from the Hue app. The Infuse doesn't ship with one, so brightness there is set from the app or a voice assistant.
