Everything you need to know
The Play gradient lightstrip in the 55-inch size sits along the back edge of a 55" to 60" TV and casts a run of colour onto the wall behind it. Unlike a plain strip, it shows several colours at once along its length, so the glow behind the screen can match different parts of the picture. It runs White and colour ambiance light and needs the Hue Bridge plus a Sync Box to follow on-screen content.

The light matches what's on screen in real time, so a green field or a sunset carries onto the wall behind the panel. To make it track the picture you need a Hue Bridge, plus either a Hue Play HDMI Sync Box or the Sync TV app on a supported TV. Without them it holds a fixed colour.

This is the 55-inch strip, cut to run along the back edge of a 55" to 60" screen. Match the size to your TV: there are 65-inch and 75-inch versions for larger panels, and a strip sized to the wrong TV won't sit right along the edge.
