Impress Outdoor Wall Light
Low-voltage colour wall light for a garden wall or fence line, running off the same plug-in Hue outdoor system as your spotlights.
Everything you need to know
A low-voltage outdoor wall light for the Hue garden system, casting up to 1180 lumens of White and colour ambiance across 2000–6500K. It rates IP44 against rain and joins the same low-voltage run as Lily spotlights and the Impress pedestal. It needs a Hue outdoor power supply, sold separately, plus the Hue Bridge for full control.
Product features
Fixes to a wall or fence
This is the wall-mounted Impress: it fixes to a garden wall, a fence post or the render beside a path, and shares its look with the Impress pedestal. It gives White and colour ambiance across 2000–6500K plus 16 million colours, up to 1180 lumens at 4000K.
Wired in, not plugged in
The Impress wall light is hardwired to mains, so it needs an electrician to install. That sets it apart from the rest of the Hue outdoor range: there is no power supply, no low-voltage cable and nothing to plug in. If you want a fixture that joins a garden run instead, the Impress pedestal is the same light on a spike.
IP44 for a wall
An IP44 rating protects it against rain and splashing from any direction, which suits a wall or fence line. It pairs over Zigbee and Bluetooth; add the Hue Bridge for schedules, sunset automations and control while you are away.
The Philips Hue system
Hue is a system, not just a smart bulb. Every Hue product, from bulbs and lamps to light strips and fixtures, joins the same Zigbee mesh and shows up in one app. A single bulb bought today slots straight into a whole-home setup later.
Bulbs, lamps, strips & fixtures
All speak Zigbee and mesh with each other, so every light you add extends the network's reach.
One Bridge runs the whole home
Runs up to 50 lights off your router, and connects Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa and SmartThings.
App, voice & switches
One app for rooms, scenes and schedules, plus dimmers, buttons and sensors that work without a phone.
Start with one light Start here
Add your first Hue light, open the Hue app, and control up to 10 lights in one room over Bluetooth. No hub required.
Add the Hue Bridge When you're ready
Run up to 50 lights, control them from anywhere, set schedules and automations, and connect your voice assistant.
Start small, scale up. Everything you buy today keeps working when you add the Bridge, and everything Hue has made since 2012 still joins the same system.

It carries an IP44 rating: protected against rain and splashing from any direction, suited to a wall or fence. For ground-level fixtures that may cop heavier water, the IP65-rated Calla or Lily sit lower and seal tighter.
Yes. It runs on the low-voltage Hue outdoor system, so it needs a Hue outdoor power supply, sold separately. One supply can drive several fixtures on the same cable run.
Both. White and colour ambiance covers 2000–6500K white plus 16 million colours from the Hue app.
Same light and same family, different mount. This one fixes to a wall or fence; the Impress pedestal stands in a garden bed on a spike. Both run on the same low-voltage cable.
Bluetooth controls it in range. The Hue Bridge adds schedules, sunset automations and away-from-home control, and lets it run as part of a larger garden setup.
