Neon Outdoor - 5m LED Strip
A flexible neon-style rope for outdoors that glows as one even line of colour, for tracing patio edges, steps, railings and garden curves.
Everything you need to know
The Neon Outdoor 5m is a bendable neon-style rope you can shape around railings, steps and garden curves for a soft, even line of colour with no visible dots. It runs multiple colours across its length at once with Chromasync blending, is rated IP67 for year-round weather, and includes its own low-volt power supply. Add a Hue Bridge for gradient scenes and full control.
Product features
Shape it around corners
The flexible neon-style body bends around railings, steps and curved beds, glowing as one even line rather than a row of dots. Shape the run to your space rather than cutting it, since the 5 m length is fixed.
Colour along the rope
Chromasync blending runs several colours across the length at once, and the diffused body hides the individual LEDs for a soft, continuous glow. At 1100 lumens it suits accent and edge lighting rather than floodlighting.
Out through every season
Rated IP67 and tested from -20°C to 45°C, the rope handles rain, humidity and heat year-round. Its low-voltage power supply is included, with a Hue Bridge unlocking gradient scenes and remote control.
The Philips Hue system
Hue is a system, not just a smart bulb. Every Hue product, from bulbs and lamps to light strips and fixtures, joins the same Zigbee mesh and shows up in one app. A single bulb bought today slots straight into a whole-home setup later.
Bulbs, lamps, strips & fixtures
All speak Zigbee and mesh with each other, so every light you add extends the network's reach.
One Bridge runs the whole home
Runs up to 50 lights off your router, and connects Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa and SmartThings.
App, voice & switches
One app for rooms, scenes and schedules, plus dimmers, buttons and sensors that work without a phone.
Start with one light Start here
Add your first Hue light, open the Hue app, and control up to 10 lights in one room over Bluetooth. No hub required.
Add the Hue Bridge When you're ready
Run up to 50 lights, control them from anywhere, set schedules and automations, and connect your voice assistant.
Start small, scale up. Everything you buy today keeps working when you add the Bridge, and everything Hue has made since 2012 still joins the same system.

Quick answers before you buy. We test this gear ourselves. Can't find yours? Ask our Melbourne team
Yes. The rope is rated IP67 for permanent outdoor use and rated to operate from -20°C to 45°C. The included power supply is IP20, so site it under cover or in a weatherproof enclosure.
Yes. A low-volt outdoor power supply is included, so it is a complete kit. It can also run from an existing Hue low-volt outdoor setup.
No. The Neon Outdoor is a fixed 5 m rope and is not cuttable. It bends around corners and curves, so shape the run to your space rather than cutting it.
Bluetooth handles on, off, dimming and a single colour. The multi-colour gradients and scenes this rope is built for need a Hue Bridge, which also adds remote control and automation.
It puts out 1100 lumens, which suits accent and edge lighting rather than floodlighting. Use it to trace steps, railings and borders, and pair it with a brighter fixture if you need to light a whole area.
