The 10 m Solo is the longest length in Hue's current indoor colour range, for wrapping a large room, a long hallway or an extended run of joinery in one strip. It lights the whole run in one colour at a time, from warm white through to full colour, and the base kit includes the controller and the higher-rated power supply that the longer length needs.

The Solo lights the whole strip in one colour at a time, from warm white through to full colour. It won't hold several colours at once along its length. If you want a gradient of colours in one run, the Hue OmniGlow does that instead.
One continuous run for a big space
At 10 m this length wraps a large living room, a long hallway or an extended run of cabinetry in one strip. The base kit includes the higher-rated power supply this length needs. It's cuttable at the marked points to shorten it to your space. It isn't extendable, so this is the longest single Solo run. The 3 m and 5 m are the same strip cut shorter.
Ready to run, indoors
The base kit includes the controller and the power supply it needs, so nothing else is required to get it going. It puts out 1,700 lumens at 4000K and is rated IP20 for dry indoor use. Control it over Bluetooth from the Hue app now, or add a Hue Bridge for Matter, automations and voice with Apple Home, Google Home and Amazon Alexa.

Yes. It is cuttable at the marked cut points, so you can shorten it to fit your run. It cannot be extended or rejoined once cut.
Yes. The Solo is rated IP20, which is for dry indoor use. For outside, use one of Hue's outdoor lightstrips instead.
No, for basic control. Over Bluetooth you can control it from the Hue app on one phone in the room. Add a Hue Bridge for remote access, automations, Matter, and Apple Home, Google Home and Amazon Alexa.
It is a single 10 m run. The Solo is not extendable, so lengths cannot be joined. The 10 m is the same strip as the 3 m and 5 m, supplied at the longer length with the power supply it needs.
