Synthwave is the one theme on this page that is a statement rather than a finish: deep purple grounds, neon pink and cyan accents, and no pretence of blending into the wall. On the right dashboard, usually a media room or a home office, it is glorious. On a hallway panel it is a lot.

The project went quiet for a stretch and came back, with a release in June 2026 that follows the May component changes. Worth a look if the top picks feel too sensible.
