Everything you need to know

FCOB puts the diodes under a continuous phosphor layer, so at 960 LEDs per metre the strip reads as one line of light instead of a row of dots. Six pins carry red, green, blue, warm white and cool white, so you get real white light as well as colour, at Ra>90. Cut it every 41.5 mm. It is an analog strip, so it needs a 24 V constant-voltage supply and a 6-pin RGBCCT controller, and neither is in the box.

Product features

One controller puts it in the Hue app

The strip is a light engine with no radio in it, which is what keeps it cheap and lets you cut it. Add a Gledopto Pro controller and the whole run joins your Zigbee network as an ordinary colour light, with rooms, scenes and routines in the Philips Hue app, SmartThings, a Zigbee Echo or Home Assistant. Six pins from the strip into the controller's terminals, no soldering.

Works with the Gledopto GL-C-301P and GL-C-601P
Pairs to a Hue Bridge, SmartThings or Home Assistant
Keeps running with the internet down

Cut it every 41.5 mm

A run is never the length the roll comes in. Cut at the marked copper pads and the strip finishes exactly where the cabinet does. The offcut is not waste either: rejoin it with one of the connectors in the box and use it somewhere else.

Marked cut points every 41.5 mm
Offcuts rejoin with the included connectors

Double-sided tape, already on

The back of the strip carries double-sided adhesive, so a clean, dry, flat surface is all it needs. Press it into a channel, along a shelf lip or under a cabinet and it stays put. On a rough surface, or overhead where you would rather not trust tape on its own, use the clips in the box.

A 24 V constant-voltage supply and a 6-pin RGBCCT controller. The Gledopto GL-C-301P and GL-C-601P both drive it, and either one puts the strip on Zigbee. The strip on its own has no radio and no driver.

No. The whole strip shows one colour at a time. Addressable strips run a data line and an IC per segment; this one is analog PWM, which is why it works with ordinary constant-voltage controllers.

Every 41.5 mm, at the marked copper pads. Join the cut end by soldering, or with a 12 mm 6-pin solderless connector.

5 m. Past that the voltage drop shows up as dimmer, warmer light at the far end, so feed longer runs from both ends or wire them in parallel back to the supply.

No. This version has no waterproofing, so keep it to indoor, dry locations. Under a cabinet, in a coving detail or inside an aluminium channel is what it is built for.

That depends entirely on the controller you put in front of it. The strip is a dumb light engine, so whatever your controller supports is what the strip supports.

Yes, through a Gledopto Pro controller. The strip has no radio of its own, so the controller is what joins the Zigbee network. Paired to a Hue Bridge it shows up as an ordinary colour light with rooms, scenes and routines. SmartThings, a Zigbee Echo and Home Assistant work the same way, and we stock both Gledopto Pro models for the job.
