Sunset for iPad
The round, Alcantara-lined Sunset, for the 10.9-inch iPad and the 11-inch A16.
Everything you need to know
Sunset is the top of the range and the one bought for how it looks. The frame is CNC machined and anodised in a round shape that sits flush with the iPad, and the face carries a replaceable Alcantara inlay that can be swapped to suit the room. The frame is open, so the iPad lifts out, and it charges through an integrated USB-C port.
Product features
Award-winning, and not by our own reckoning
This is the best-designed tablet mount you can put on a wall, and the people who said so are not us. It took a German Design Award in 2025 for Excellent Product Design, judged by the German Design Council against industrial design from every field in Germany. Most of the category is a bracket. This is not.
Cut from a solid block of aluminium
Most tablet mounts are moulded plastic or folded sheet metal. Displine machine theirs from a solid block of aluminium, then anodise or powder coat the surface. It is a slower and more expensive way to build a wall mount, and it is what you are paying for: a frame with the weight and the finish of the tablet it holds.
The iPad rests on Alcantara, not aluminium
The face of the mount is lined with an Alcantara inlay, the suede-like microfibre used in car interiors, so the aluminium never touches the back of the iPad. It stops the scratching you would otherwise get from sliding a tablet in and out every day, and it changes how the thing feels to use. The inlay lifts out and can be swapped for another colour. One is included: natural with the gold finish, grey with black, titanium and rose gold.
Charge it through the mount
The mount carries the charging cable itself, so the iPad charges while it hangs on the wall and nothing drapes down the plaster. Run it to a nearby socket, or fit the flush-mounted supply behind the mount and no cable shows at all. A tablet that lives on a wall is only worth having if it is charged.
Lift the iPad out with one hand
One side of the frame is open, so the iPad slides in and lifts out without unclipping anything. That is the difference between a mount you take the tablet off daily and one you fit and forget. Nothing locks, which is the trade: this is a mount for a home, not a shopfront.
For the iPad 10.9-inch and the 11-inch A16
This Sunset is machined for the 10.9-inch iPad (10th generation) and the 11-inch iPad (A16). The opening is cut to that body, so it will not take an Air, a mini or a Pro. Three finishes: gold, black and titanium, all anodised, each with an Alcantara inlay matched to it.
Four screws and a wall plate
Screws and plugs are in the box. The wall plate goes up first, the mount screws onto it, and the whole job is a drill and a spirit level. If you are running power behind the wall, do that part before the plate goes on.

Compare Displine mounts
Displine make three lines of iPad wall mount, and two of those lines also come in a Home version. Almost all of the difference is in the frame, so here is each one with the iPad taken out.
The five mounts
All five hold the iPad flat against the wall and keep it charged while it is up there. The difference that matters most is whether the iPad stays in the mount or comes out of it. Companion Wall and Dame Wall close around the tablet and hold it there, with a screw lock if you want it secured against theft. The two Home versions are open, so you can lift the iPad out and put it back through the day, and Dame Wall Home has the rotation unit built in. Beyond that it is materials: Companion is powder coated and the least expensive of the three lines, Dame is milled from a block of aluminium and anodised with a replaceable Alcantara inlay, and Sunset is the same anodised aluminium and Alcantara in a round housing that looks nothing like a standard rectangular wall mount.

What iPad do you have?
Type a model number like A2836, a name, a chip or a year, or browse a family above. Not sure? Open Settings, tap General, then About: tap the part number beside Model Number and it flips to the A number. On older iPads it is printed on the back of the case.
