Everything Philips Hue announced at IFA 2026
Philips Hue announced more than a dozen products at IFA Berlin. Seven are already listed in Australia at an Australian price, including both new ways to sync your lights to the telly. Most of the design range is not sold here at all.
Play Screen Sync
Play HDMI sync box 4K
Play gradient strip light and Strip Light Pro
Wall Light Module for Nanoleaf Shapes
Liane 360 rope light
Signe pendant, pendulum and pole
Festavia curtain, net and icicle
OmniGlow outdoor strip light
Semeru outdoor wall light
Scenova outdoor wall light
Muscari outdoor wall spot
Struana outdoor wall spot
Play Screen Sync
A small fisheye camera that clips above your television and watches the screen. Because it reads what is actually displayed rather than an HDMI signal passing through a box, it syncs your lights to anything the telly can show: a streaming app running on the TV itself, free-to-air, a games console, all of it.
Every previous Hue sync product sat between a source and the screen, so anything the TV generated on its own was invisible to it. A camera has no such blind spot. The trade is that it has to see the screen, so it needs a clear line of sight and a calibration pass, and Hue rates it for TVs up to 85 inches.
Play HDMI sync box 4K
A slimmer, cheaper sync box with a single HDMI input, aimed at people running one source into the TV rather than a stack of them. It is the same idea as the existing sync box, cut down to the setup most homes actually have.
Paired with bridgeless sync, this is the cheapest way into Hue TV lighting that Signify has ever offered.
Play gradient strip light and Strip Light Pro
The TV strips are cuttable now, so you trim one down to your screen instead of hunting for an exact match. The range reaches 100 inch screens for the first time, and a Pro version uses RGBWW LEDs for better whites.
Cuttable matters for anyone who has bought the wrong length before. Hue still sells the strips in sizes. In Australia the standard strip is $249.95 for the 65 inch and $299.95 for the 85 inch, the Pro is $349.95 and $389.95, and each has its own bracket set at $39.95.
Wall Light Module for Nanoleaf Shapes
A separately sold module that brings compatible Nanoleaf Shapes panels, meaning Hexagons, Triangles and Mini Triangles, into the Hue app as real Hue lights. They join scenes, automations and entertainment areas like anything else.
Two ecosystems that have spent a decade ignoring each other agreeing to interoperate is genuinely unusual, and it is the announcement here most likely to matter in two years.
Liane 360 rope light
A flexible rope light that emits evenly around its whole circumference rather than out of one face, in 3m and 5m lengths. It is meant to be wrapped around furniture, stair rails and architectural details rather than run in a straight line behind something.
It is also the most expensive thing in this announcement by a wide margin. Signify's global release puts it at 399.99 euro and its UK release at 429.99 euro, and both list the launch markets as Europe, the UK and North America. Australia was not among them.

Our take
Buy now insteadBridgeless sync does more for the price of entry than any single product here. One gradient strip now pairs straight to a sync box or to the new camera over Bluetooth, with no Hue Bridge in the middle. Until now, TV lighting cost you a Bridge before you bought anything that made light.
For an Australian buyer the answer is no longer to wait. Play Screen Sync and the Play HDMI sync box 4K are both $199.95 and in stock. Both Play gradient strip lights are here, at $249.95 and $299.95 for the 65 and 85 inch, or $349.95 and $389.95 for the Pro. So are the three new outdoor wall lights, at $149.95 for Muscari and Struana and $189.95 for Scenova.
The design half of the announcement is a different story. Liane, the Signe pendant, pendulum and pole, the wall light module that brings Nanoleaf panels into the Hue app, and the outdoor OmniGlow strip are all absent from the Australian catalogue, and Signify has not said whether they are coming. The Festavia curtain, net and icicle lights are here at $499.95 each, or $609.90 bundled with a power supply, and all were in stock when we checked on 14 October.
We do not stock any of it yet. If that changes we will say so plainly, on the product pages rather than here. The Philips Hue we do carry is on our Philips Hue brand page.

Frequently asked questions
Do I still need a Hue Bridge for TV sync?
Not for a single light. The Play HDMI sync box 4K and the Play Screen Sync can both pair to one Play gradient strip over Bluetooth with no Bridge at all. Adding a Bridge or Bridge Pro lets you expand the same setup to about ten lights.
What is the difference between Screen Sync and the HDMI sync box?
The sync box sits between a source and your TV and reads the HDMI signal, so it only sees what passes through it. Screen Sync is a camera that watches the screen itself, so it also syncs to free-to-air and to apps running on the television. The camera needs a clear view of the screen; the box does not.
Which of these can I buy in Australia?
Seven, today. Play Screen Sync, the Play HDMI sync box 4K, the Play gradient strip light and the Pro version in both sizes, the Scenova, Muscari and Struana outdoor lights, and the Festavia curtain, net and icicle lights are all listed on the Australian Philips Hue site at Australian prices. When we checked on 14 October, only the 85 inch Pro strip was out of stock. Liane, the Signe pendant range, the Nanoleaf wall light module and the outdoor OmniGlow strip are not in the Australian catalogue, and Signify has not said whether they are coming.
Do the AI features work on my existing Bridge?
No. Custom AI Behaviors are exclusive to the Hue Bridge Pro and arrive in early October. Update, 14 October 2026: Custom AI Behaviors had not arrived by mid-October, and Signify has not given a new date. Back-up and Restore is still in development, and restoring a saved setup will be Bridge Pro only at first. Sonos control is due in November.
