The 5 m OmniGlow is the longer of Hue's higher-output indoor gradient strips, built on micro-LEDs so several colours blend smoothly along one run with no visible dots. At 4,500 lumens at 6500K it is bright enough to do real work in a room, not only add a glow. Being an individually addressable RGBWWIC strip, it shows a gradient of colours at once, not a single colour across the whole run.

Several colours along one run
This is an individually addressable RGBWWIC strip, so it holds several colours along its length at the same time and blends them into a gradient. That's the difference from the Hue Solo, which shows one colour across the whole run. Pick the OmniGlow when the colour blend is part of the look.
A continuous line, no dots
Micro-LEDs, made with chip-scale packaging, give a smooth line of light with no visible dots. That's why it reads well on show rather than only hidden behind joinery.
Cut to size for a longer run
At 5 m this length reaches around a full staircase, along a long bench or around a bedroom where the strip is meant to be seen. At 4,500 lumens at 6500K it's bright enough to light a room, not just accent it. It's cuttable at the marked points to shorten it to your space. It isn't extendable, so the 3 m OmniGlow is the same strip cut shorter if this is more than you need.
Bluetooth now, Bridge later
Pair over Bluetooth and run it from the Hue app out of the box, up to about ten lights in a room. Add the Hue Bridge, sold separately, for automations, control while you're away, and Matter, Apple Home, Google Home and Amazon Alexa.
